He was a French philosopher, existentialist, author, politician and journalist. This play was written on the theme of absurd. In the opening of the scene one in act one, the conversation between Martha and her old mother begin the play. The protagonist Martha and her old mother run a boarding house in the city Bohemia which is situated in the country of Europe. When Martha is not at her house, one day a guest from Czechoslovakia wants to stay in their boarding house. Martha enquires her mother about the arrival of her new guest. When she knows that he is a rich person, Martha plans for his stay but she is interpreted by her mother. She asks Martha to stop all her plans and she wants to take rest.
